The Seychelles Public Transport Corporation (SPTC) was established in December 1977, to cater for the commuting needs of the people.
Since then, the Corporation has grown to offer an expansive range of services to cater for daily needs of the Seychellois people, including special hires, private jobs and advertising opportunities.
The Seychelles Public Transport Corporation is the parent company to the Praslin Transport Company (PTC). At present, SPTC is the only public transportation service provider in Seychelles, and its services operate on the islands of Mahé and Praslin. Approximately 65,000 people, Seychellois and visitors alike make use of our services on a daily basis. Over 600 bus trips are made daily on Mahé.
Bus services operate throughout the day, from 5.30 a.m. to 8.30 p.m.
Special night circular services at 8.30 p.m. operate from Monday to Saturday, tracing the Northern and Southern parts of Mahé, at the cost of Rs8.00.
A little more than 100 trips are operated on Praslin, daily and these are from 0550hrs to 1820hrs.
All day fare trips cost Rs5.00. Aircon services are at Rs8.
SPTC and its sister company also provide buses on ‘Special Hire’ for group outings, picnics, weddings, funerals among others, in addition to Dedicated School bus services.
